BOOST Chocolate Mocha Energy Bars

These energy bars are a great breakfast pick-me-up and even have espresso powder for your morning hit of caffeine.

    Ingredients

    3 1/2 cups (875 ml) quick cook oats
    1 cup (250 ml) mini chocolate chips
    2/3 cup (150 ml) hemp seeds
    6 tablespoons (90 ml) cocoa powder
    4 teaspoons (20 ml) instant espresso powder
    1/4 cup (60 ml) chia seeds
    1 cup (250 ml) pitted dates
    1/3 cup (75 ml) brown rice syrup
    1/4 cup (60 ml) coconut oil
    melted

    Instructions

    Line a 13 x 9-inch (33 x 23 cm) metal baking pan with parchment paper.

    In large bowl, stir together oats, chocolate chips, hemp seeds, BOOST Just Protein Powder, cocoa powder, espresso and chia seeds.

    In blender, pulse pitted dates, BOOST® Original Chocolate, rice syrup and coconut oil until smooth.

    Combine date mixture and oat mixture in a bowl. Toss well to coat.

    Scrape into prepared pan and press down firmly.

    Freeze for 40 minutes or refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm. Cut into 32 bars.
